General Questions
Is there a minimum stay?
We operate on a 2 x night minimum stay during our “Peak season” (June- September inclusive) and provide 1 night stays when there is availability. 1 night stays will not normally be offered during peak season when there is space for a 2 night stay. 1 night stays may be possible if there is availability up to 5 days in advance.
We are happy to take one night stays during off peak times of the year.
How can I change my booking?
Any requests to change bookings can be emailed to us at [email protected]. We will always try our hardest to accommodate your needs where we can.
What time can I check in?
You can gain access to the pods from 16.00 onwards
What time do I need to check out?
Before 10.00 on the day of departure.
Do I have to pre-pay for my stay?
Yes, our policy is payment in full at the time of booking.
Do I have to pay a security deposit?
Yes, there is a £50 security deposit required. Please report any breakages so we can attend to any damage as soon as possible.
What happens if I need to cancel?
We are unable to refund cancelled bookings less than 14 days prior to arrival. See Booking Terms and Conditions. We strongly advise you to take out the appropriate travel insurance so you can have peace of mind that your costs will be covered, should you need to cancel your stay for any reason out with this period.
How can I pay online?
We use safe online system, Sage Pay, which accepts all major credit and debit cards.
Pod Questions
Do I have to clean the pod before I leave?
The pods are fully serviced to a high standard by cleaners before your arrival. We appreciate
guests who keep the pods clean and tidy during their stay. There will be dish washing liquid, anti-bacterial cleaning spray, a cloth and a disposable scourer left for your use. There is also a small dustpan and brush.Please place all used towels including dish towels, cleaning cloths and shower mat in the brightly coloured linen bag provided. Leave the bag beside the kitchen table.
Please ensure all cutlery and crockery has been fully cleaned – (hot water and detergent)- Please empty the bins in the kitchen and shower room.
- Please ensure all landfill rubbish is bagged, tied and placed in the green landfill bin that can be found beside the barbeque hut.
- Please ensure all recycling is cleaned and placed in the blue recycling bin that can be found beside the barbeque hut.
- Any glass recycling needs to be placed in the bin labelled glass.
Do you provide towels and bedding?
One bath and one hand towel per person will be provided,but these are not to be removed from the property so we ask you to bring your beach or outdoor activity towels. All bedding required for your party is provided and changed between each stay.
Can you provide cots and high chairs?
We have a booster seat which clips on to the dining chairs in your pod. Please let us know if you need it in advance and we can provide it. We do not have travel cots, but should you wish to take your own there is room in the pod for this.
How is the pod heated?
The pods are well insulated and therefore warm and cosy. There is thermostatically controlled heating for year-round comfort. This is included in the price per night, there will be no additional costs for heating.
Is there WIFI provided?
Yes, the pods have free WIFI.
What will I do if I damage or break something?
Please report any breakages to us at your earliest convenience. Where appropriate you may be asked to pay for the replacement cost of the item.
The pod will be in a clean condition on your arrival and we would very much appreciate it to be left in a similar condition. We may need to charge for additional cleaning if the pod has not been left in an acceptable condition.
Can I cook in the pods?
Yes, but we discourage frying or cooking strong smelling foods for example, curries and kippers because these smells can linger long after you have left!
Are toiletries provided?
There will be handwash and shower gel supplied in the en-suite. There will be handwash in the kitchen area. There is hand sanitizer beside the front door. Guests are asked to wash their hands or use the sanitizer each time they enter the property.

Site Questions
Where can I park my car?
Each pod has its own private car parking area adjacent. We accept no responsibility for any
loss or damage that may occur to your car or associated property whilst at Ardgay Glamping
Pods.Do you take dogs?
Sorry but no pets allowed.
Can I have a barbeque?
Yes, there is outdoor gas BBQ and cooking facilities under cover. If you would like to use this, we would appreciate it if you could clean it after use.
There is a BBQ tool set and safety gloves.
Can I light a fire?
Yes, you can build a fire in the “fire pit”. Under no circumstances should a fire be lit anywhere else on site. There is a Firepit and outdoor seating area beside each pod. The fire pits must never be moved, and especially into or near the Pods or onto the decking.
Some sticks and a utility lighter are provided.
What is the mobile phone reception like?
The mobile phone reception is normally good.
Are there noise restrictions?
We ask you to observe good manners towards the residents in the neighbouring pod and house nearby. Please be considerate to others and keep the noise levels to a minimum to respect this peaceful site. This is particularly appropriate to stress when using the outdoor areas and communal area where your behaviour can impact on others, especially if young children are staying. In Scotland noise should be kept to a minimum between 23:00 and 07:00 to avoid disturbing others.
Is there wheelchair access?
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate wheelchair users easily. There is not adequate floor space inside the pod to accommodate wheelchairs.
Is there a no smoking policy?
Yes, there is a strict no smoking /no vaping/no E-cigarettes policy within the pod and the communal areas.
